If you like to write in Editor-only full screen view in Ulysses you can have a very minimalist distraction-free writing environment. The trouble is you can have your flow regularly disrupted by having to reach for the mouse and hunt for things in menus. Thankfully, you can minimize that disruption by learning the many keyboard shortcuts available. Not every function has a shortcut but most of the ones you are likely to use regularly do. Below is a complete list for you. (Ulysses have a nice PDF of these shortcuts on their web site but it isn’t quite as up-to-date or extensive as this list. They also have a PDF of the iPad shortcuts which is slightly different to the Mac OS version.)
You will find that learning these keyboard shortcuts can greatly enhance your rhythm when you are in the writing zone. It is well worth the initial effort.
Font size
This only refers to the screen font and has no effect on the output of your document.
⌘ + and ⌘ – zooms in or out, while ⌘ 0 resets to default size.
